Today, almost every home now has a programmable thermostat. They are usually centrally located in the living room or similar room. The thermostat monitors the air temp and turns on the air conditioner or furnace when temperatures hit certain levels. However, it doesn’t take a science degree to know that some parts of your home are different temperatures than your living room. Heat rises, basements trap cool air and many other scenarios.
